The ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 sits at the pinnacle of ASUS's gaming router lineup, and it's the fastest dual-band WiFi 6 router we've ever tested. If gaming performance is your top priority and budget is secondary, this is the router.
Design and Build
There's no mistaking the GT-AX6000 for anything other than a gaming product. The aggressive angular design features ASUS's signature ROG aesthetic with red accents, ventilation grilles, and four large antennas with ROG-branded housings. The Aura RGB lighting on the front can be customized through the app or synced with other ASUS Aura devices.
It's big — really big. At 13.2 x 13.2 x 5.9 inches, you'll need dedicated space for this router. But the size serves a purpose: the large internal heatsink and ventilation system keep the powerful hardware cool under sustained load.
WiFi Performance
The GT-AX6000 is a performance monster:
